A Question About Linen

A friend of mine bought 11 yards of what was called primitive linen for rug hooking on ebay. When she got it, she quickly realized it is not for rug hooking. What in the world is she going to do with this linen? Any ideas? She said it would be great for stitcheries and is selling some on ebay in small pieces.

In the picture this fabric looks like Osnaburg ...It's really popular for making primitive dolls, stitcheries, etc...

She could hook some primitive style pillow tops and use this linen for backing.

I'm sure that some creative prim artist can come up with lots of good use for it.

I think that they would make great place mats or prim decorations with stitchery of all kind. Christmas tree skirts, etc.

I love the vintage look to this fabric.

A little bit of cross stitch along with some wool applique or cotton applique would be sweet!

Yeppers, looks like osnaburg to me too. Great for stitcheries and dollie making. Just remember to keep those stitches nice and tight so it won't fray and come apart.
