Over the years I have had my hands in many different crafts including stained glass mosaics, polymer clay, rug hooking both traditionally with wool strips and Nantucket style with wool yarn, a little scrapbooking, crafty painting, miniature punch needle, cross stitch, wool applique and penny rugs, and anything else that sparks an interest. I also had a home-based custom decorated cookie business for three years, Sugar House Cookies, so any time I find a craft that reminds me of cookies or gives me a chance to pull out my cookie cutters, I'm all over it! You can find my faux take on sugar cookies made in wool felt in my etsy shop, and I've recently discovered salt dough ornaments and bowl fillers.
I am a wife and a mother to a teenage boy who loves basketball, Boy Scouts, his school and church. I am a medical transcriptionist and find my job interesting, but a bit monotonous, so I love to spend my free time being crafty. We live in an interesting area where we are in the suburbs, but lucky enough to have llamas, goats, sheep, horses, cows, vegetable farms, a winery, and a national park practically in our backyard.
